Overview of the Prevention Leadership Conference
August 1-2, 2013
Drury Plaza Hotel at the Arch
The power and potential in youth is quite simply…amazing. With this year’s theme The HERO in YOUth, we want students to come away from the conference educated and aware, but also with a feeling of empowerment that they really can make a difference!
In 26 conference hours, participants will:
-
Learn an amazing amount of new information! Choose from 15 general breakout sessions on topics covering Alcohol, Prescription Drugs, Texting and Driving, Bullying, Diseased Organs, Tobacco, Leadership, Marijuana, Dating and much more! New this year… 4 additional breakout sessions are designed and reserved for upperclassmen only!
-
Hear from national key note speakers including Talia Leman, CEO and founder of RandomKid. Talia develops ideas, strategies and networks between kids internationally to increase their impact.
-
Meet Marshall the Miracle Dog and learn his amazing story from the abuse that left him near death to the amazing love that inspired his survival and how his message is reaching millions!
-
Work together as a force of 400 hands and 200 hearts to leave our mark on St. Louis as only YOUth can do when volunteering for something remarkable!
