Cultural and Linguistically Appropriate Services Standards (CLAS) Training

By the end of this training it is expected that participants will have a rudimentary knowledge of the Cultural and Linguistically Appropriate Services Standards (CLAS) and how they may be used to reduce disparities in substance use/abuse treatment and recovery services. The session provides a brief review of the history and structure of the CLAS standards (Principle, governance, leadership, and workforce; communication and language assistance and engagement, continuous improvement, and accountability), the revision and relationship to existing health policy, as well as their implications for health equity.
