Legislative Conversation

NCADA will host its 4th annual legislative conversation on November 15 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. This town hall style event will focus on addressing substance use related issues during the Missouri General Assembly’s 2018 legislative session.

NCADA has a longstanding record as an advocacy leader in the St. Louis region, focusing on youth prevention, policies that reduce underage access to alcohol and tobacco, as well as working to reduce both the supply of and demand for alcohol and other drugs within our communities. Topics for this legislative conversation are likely to include:

  • The opioid epidemic
  • Substance use prevention
  • Prescription Drug Monitoring Program
  • Legalization of medical and/or recreational marijuana
  • Access to treatment for substance use disorders
  • Health insurance parity
  • And a number of other related and relevant issues
