The world around us is changing rapidly and NCADA is adapting the way we provide vital services to best serve our community. Our licensed or certified counselors are providing low- or no-cost virtual confidential assessments to community members looking for the appropriate services for their needs. While we are all generally experiencing some of the struggles of social distancing, isolation can make this a particularly difficult time for those experiencing a substance use disorder. Ensuring that support is available to those in need is especially critical now.

Our staff is continuing to provide virtual OEND (Overdose Education and Naloxone Distribution) trainings for individuals in the community, first responders, and other organizations. NCADA is a certified Prevention Resource Center, and our Community Strategists are providing support services to 27 local community coalitions that deliver more localized grassroots solutions. These staff provide technical support and guidance with grant writing, education, strategic planning, seminars, and special events.

During this time of increased uncertainty, with unemployment, anxiety, and unease at an all-time high, behavioral health services and substance misuse counseling is an absolutely vital service. NCADA continues to be a leader in our community by offering our usual low- or no-cost counseling services to all community members. Substance misuse is common during times of unease, and with your help we can continue to respond to the needs of the most vulnerable members of our community.
