Talk About It Campaign

We here at NCADA are excited for the opportunity to show our fourth annual Super Bowl PSA—and we are very appreciative of all our partners that made it possible. As you will see, this commercial takes a very different approach from the PSAs we have aired in past years. In a hopeful tone, it asks viewers to take a different kind of action and to remember that we are not helpless in the face of a terrible epidemic.

So what’s next?

We know that addiction can happen to anyone. But we also know that when parents talk with their kids about alcohol and other drugs, they are 50% less likely to misuse substances. So, we want to encourage families to “talk about it.”

Many parents may not feel prepared to have these conversations—they may be unsure about when to have them or what to say. Our new “Talk About It” campaign gives parents the tools and resources they need to start vital conversations and protect their families. Visit the Talk About It website to learn more about the campaign, read through age-specific talking kits, and find out how you can get more involved.

We also encourage you to share this resource with your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers—anyone who could benefit from these potentially life-saving conversations. And don’t forget to follow us on social media, or perhaps share your own thoughts on the importance of talking early and often with your kids by using #talkaboutitstl.
